Appetite for Welding program: (will consider welders outside of program)

  • Mobile oilfield welders and factory/shop welders who are holders of a current Journeyman Welder Certificate; or risks with a clean 3-year claims record
  • Insured’s that have operated for a minimum of 3 years
  • Risks domiciled in Canada
  • Maximum annual actual or estimated receipts of $1,000,000+ to work within our program offerings
  • Ability to offer property coverage including Business interruption, tools, and CEF (including rented or leased)

Welding inspectors, quality control inspectors and oil and gas consultants:

  • Manual Work Exclusion
  • Must hold designated or approved Diplomas or certificates.
  • Max receipts $500K
  • Premium starting as little as $750
  • Can also consider higher receipts outside of program.

Coverage limits include:

  • $2,000,000 Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability Each Occurrence Limit
  • $2,000,000 Products and Completed Operations Aggregate Limit
  • $2,000,000 Personal and Advertising Injury Liability Any One Person or Organization
  • $25,000 Medical Payments Limit Any One Person
  • $2,000,000 General Aggregate Limit
  • $500,000 Tenants Legal Liability Limit Any One Premises
  • $2,000,000 S.P.F. No.6 Standard Non-Owned Automobile Liability Limit Any One Accident
  • $500,000 Forest/Prairie Fire Fighting Expense Limit Any One Occurrence
  • $1,000,000 Limited Pollution Liability (120 hours) Any One Occurrence
  • 1,000,000 Contingent Employers’ Liability

Minimum Deductibles:

  • Commercial General Liability CAD 2,500 Any One Loss Occurrence
  • Forest Fire Fighting Expenses CAD 2,500 Any One Loss Occurrence
  • Limited Pollution Coverage CAD 2,500 Any One Loss Occurrence

Subject to:

  • Minimum retained policy premium of 50%.
  • Burning and welding conditions
  • Oil and gas limitation endorsement (applicable to oilfield welders)
  • Hot tap exclusion (unless endorsed hereon at agreed surcharge)
  • Manual work exclusion in respect of inspectors and consultants
  • Canadian jurisdiction clause
